Il Direttore AICS Marco Riccardo Rusconi ha partecipato al Kick-Off Meeting di PPRD East 4, la quarta fase del programma PPRD (Prevention, Preparedness and Response to natural and human-induced disasters), promosso e finanziato dall’Unione europea.
L’incontro, tenutosi a Roma presso la Casa dei Cavalieri di Rodi, ha segnato l’avvio ufficiale di un nuovo ciclo di cooperazione e ha riunito la Commissione europea, le Autorità di protezione civile dei Paesi del Partenariato Orientale e i partner del consorzio, con l’obiettivo di rafforzare la capacità di prevenzione, preparazione e risposta a crisi sempre più complesse.
Nel suo intervento, il Direttore AICS ha ribadito l’importanza di consolidare il nesso tra aiuto umanitario e protezione civile, sottolineando il ruolo delle istituzioni nel garantire continuità tra risposta all’emergenza e costruzione della resilienza nel medio e lungo periodo.
🇬🇧 The Director of #AICS, Marco Riccardo Rusconi, took part in the Kick-Off Meeting of PPRD East 4, the fourth phase of the PPRD programme (Prevention, Preparedness and Response to natural and human-induced disasters), promoted and funded by the European Union.
The meeting, held in Rome at the House of the Knights of Rhodes, marked the official launch of a new cycle of cooperation and brought together the European Commission, civil protection authorities from the Eastern Partnership countries, and consortium partners, with the aim of strengthening prevention, preparedness and response capacities to increasingly complex crises.
In his address, the Director of AICS reaffirmed the importance of consolidating the nexus between humanitarian aid and civil protection, highlighting the role of institutions in ensuring continuity between emergency response and the building of medium and long-term resilience.
